Nepean Bowhunters is a branch of the Nepean Hunters Club that was formed in 1999. Nepean Bowhunters' aim is to promote the safe and ethical hunting of feral and game animals in Australia with the bow and arrow. The club has experianced bowhunters that are more than happy to pass on technical and practical information to help you become a confident bowhunter. Whether you are young or old, male or female, shoot a modern compound bow or a traditional recurve or longbow, Nepean Bowhunters is the club for you. Note: By joining Nepean Hunters Club you automatically have access to all that Nepean Bowhunters has to offer.
Club Hunts:
Club hunts are organised each year for members to attend. Some local, some interstate on game such as pigs, goats and deer.
Club Properties:
Nepean Bowhunters has access to club properties for it's members to hunt on. We are also always on the look out for new and exciting properties for our members to hunt on (Conditions apply).
Club Meetings:
Nepean Bowhunters hold meetings on the first Monday of the Month (except public holidays) at the Penrith Golf Club at 7pm. Meetings cover such topics as hunting techniques, game preparation, bow building and trips away. Socialise and network with like minded individuals, visitors are always welcome.
Monthly 3D Shoot:
3D shoots are held once a month at the Sydney International Shooting Centre - Elizabeth Dr Cecil Park. We have a large parcel of natural bush land which is set aside for our 3D range. 3D Archery is an excellent way to hone your shooting skills and test your equipment in simulated hunting senarios. The relaxed friendly atmosphere is a great way to make new friends and share technical advice. We also have a free sausage sizzle on the day. Visitors are always welcome.
